Brent Zelenewich

Brent has coached 4 years with the University of Manitoba Men’s hockey program (CIS) as an assistant coach, Two years with the Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL) as a goalie coach and lastly has been part of developing goalies at the provincial level. This includes all of the Elite Hockey Manitoba programs: U18 girls, U17/U16 boys and has coached internationally with the U17 team Western.Brent has competed at the American Hockey League level (Mb. Moose) and has won a national championship (Royal Bank Cup) and several league championships (Atlantic University Conference, MJHL and AJHL). Brent’s primary objective is to improve students’ tactical approach to the game with additional emphasis on developing proper technique.Brent has been developing goalies for the last 18 year’s. Goalies today are more patient, more explosive and position themselves a lot better than they ever have. The tactical approach to goaltending is becoming even more important to gain a competitive advantage.

Scott Miller

Scott graduated from the University of Winnipeg where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Applied Health. Scott is actively involved with the sporting community in Manitoba. With his experience in various sports, Scott is adept at assessing and rehabilitating injuries because he understands the various forces and trauma that can be placed on an athlete in practice and game situations. With Scott’s knowledge of physical conditioning, he is able to not only rehabilitate injuries but prevent them as well. Through strength training programs, Scott strengthens athletes muscles in a sport specific manner, which decreases the likelihood of injury because the athlete is properly conditioned for their specific sport.
Scott is also certified in acupuncture.

Brent Zelenewich and staff, will be instructing the goalies through the concepts above. We will be integrating goalies with players.

Goalies can expect to get the following:

Explanations on technique and positioning
Demonstration regarding mechanics and proper technique
Correction
Repetition

We will have 8 goalies per session. Student to instructor ratios’ will be 1 to 3. At each station each goalie will have a 1- 1-work rest ration with player’s integrated.
